Recordings by Sigrid

Every Moment

“Every Moment” is Sigrid Christiansen’s 3rd studio recording. An EP conceived as a suite of songs woven from Sigrid’s life in a quiet pocket of Detroit, Michigan.

Produced by Annie Capps in collaboration with gifted musicians that include members of the quartet Westbound Situation and the duo Grant and Flick, Jacob Warren on bass, Grant Flick on viola, violin, nykelharpa, 5 string octave guitar and triolian tenor guitar and Zach Brown on cello, Sigrid’s guitar and vocal recordings morphed into small symphonic adventures. Also featuring the artistry of Anne Heaton on piano, and percussion wizard, Michael Shimmin (the olllam, May Erlewine). Add to that a who’s who of voices including Jenny Bienemann, Annie Capps, Anne Heaton, John Latini, and Bobby Pennock. Engineered and mixed by Geoff Michael at Big Sky Recording (Ann Arbor, MI) and Mastered by Jim Kissling.

Little Vixen

Telling tales of tornadoes and tigers, family and foxes, the heart, the home, and the hank panky,  she delivers with a smile that lights a room. Her songs are “delicate, poetic, playful and profound” says songwriter Dick Siegel.

Sigrid Christiansen on vocals, guitar, Celtic brass whistle and violin, Dan Hazlett on guitar, trumpet and harmonica, Rod Capps on bass, viola and guitar, Bobby Pennock on vocals and piano, Jennie Knaggs on vocals and accordion, Scott Williams on percussion, David Mosher on mandolin, Hugh Fader on banjo, Annie Capps and Jenny Bienemann on vocals, and Will Cicola on clarinet.

Produced by Dan Hazlett, Little Vixen is Sigrid’s second CD of all original songs. You can preview the title track “Little Vixen” and “20 Days” in the music player on the left. Order now for swift delivery!

The Path

The Path is a song written by Sigrid and inspired by a dream she had. In the dream she is nurturing beautiful, happy children, flying through the night down a path to find more happy children in a warm and glowing home. When two of her friends heard the dream it was clear that this was a dream about songwriting and so was born The Path.

As fate would have it Chad Pastotnik, owner of Deep Wood Press and book maker/artist extraordinaire, heard Sigrid singing her song around the camp fire and so the book of the song of the dream was born.

The book is illustrated by Chad Pastotnik with 4 linoleum cuts; one in six colors, another in four colors, one and two color cuts which are shown below.
